Our Mission at Arlo
By Josh Gray
We built Arlo because waiting hours for healthcare is the standard in Canada, and it shouldn't be.
Every parent knows the feeling. Your kid spikes a fever at 10pm. You Google the symptoms and spiral. You debate whether to brave the ER for a 6-hour wait. You wonder if it can wait until morning for a walk-in clinic that might not have space.
That's the reality for millions of Canadian families. And we think it's broken.
What Arlo does
Arlo connects you with a licensed Canadian healthcare provider via text in under 2 minutes. No video calls. No waiting rooms. No phone tag.
You describe what's going on. A real provider picks up your case. They can write prescriptions, make referrals, and give you the guidance you need.
Why text?
Because parents are busy. You might be holding a crying toddler. You might be whispering in a dark room trying not to wake a sleeping kid. You might be at work sneaking a message during a break.
Text lets you get care on your terms.
Where we're going
We're just getting started. Our goal is simple: every Canadian family should have access to a healthcare provider when they need one, not when the system has an opening.
If that sounds like something worth building, we'd love to have you along for the ride.
