How does Arlo work?
Download the Arlo app, create an account, and describe your child's symptoms via text. A licensed Canadian healthcare provider will pick up your case, usually within 2 minutes. They can prescribe medication, make referrals, and provide medical advice.
Who are the healthcare providers?
All Arlo providers are licensed Canadian healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners and physicians. They're real people, not chatbots.
Will using Arlo affect my family doctor?
No. Arlo does not bill OHIP or your GP. We're a private, subscription-based service. Using Arlo has zero impact on your roster status or your relationship with your family doctor.
What can Arlo treat?
About 95% of requests are handled directly. Common cases include ear infections, pink eye, rashes, coughs and colds, stomach bugs, UTIs, and prescription renewals. If something needs in-person care, your provider will let you know.
How much does Arlo cost?
Arlo is a monthly subscription. Download the app to see current pricing and available promotions.
Can Arlo prescribe medication?
Yes. Arlo providers can prescribe medications and send prescriptions directly to your preferred pharmacy.
Is Arlo available 24/7?
Yes. You can text a provider any time, day or night.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through the app settings or by contacting us at hello@arlohealth.ca.
